It has been quite a while since I have updated my blog here so thought I would talk about something current.  My two older girls have long ago left behind most of the books that I still have listed on my Childrens Books page but my youngest is starting to have interest in those.  But lately, Kasi and Ksena just love these Laura Ingalls Wilder chapter books, even with very few pictures.  The stories are great and speak of early American History as the settlers moved West and had to contend with the Indians, etc.  We have read, "Little House in the Big Woods", "Farmer Boy", and "Little House on the Prairie".  We are now reading "On the Banks of Plum Creek".  They had to leave their little house on the Prairie because they were in Indian Territory and the Army was going to make them leave anyway.  Reading these books is very interesting, even for me.  "The only good Indian is a dead Indian", Mr. Scott says but Pa disagrees! :-) - Bill
